To mark this day, many AIDS-CRITICS worldwide will make the the 23rd April 2005 a DAY of ACTION and voice CRITICISM about the "HIV causes AIDS" theory ???

During these 21 years gone, billions of Dollars have been spend on scientific research to find a vaccine or a cure. So far with no adequate result. So wouldn´t it be time perhaps to apply the same principles of "controlling" as in any other industry? Isn't the time ripe for some kind of rethinking with regards to the whole "HIV causes AIDS" theory? Furtheron, there is a growing number of critical doctors, scientists and politicians to the rather onesided views that have been published about the aids pandemic. This letter would be tooo long to go into detail on all the different aspects, that critical scientists have pointed out, but the main points of aids criticism are: So far HIV has NOT fulfilled the "Koch postulates" (The worldwide excepted criteria to prove that a microbe is the cause for an illness, developed over a hundred years ago by the german scientist Robert Koch) HIV has not been isolated from other body cell material. There is no electromagnetic photo of HIV available. What has been published many times are either computer animations or photos from cell material with no specifics as requested by strict scientific rules. In view of the development over the last 21 years, wouldn´t it be a responsibility from the media to inform the general public about these concerns? How come, that there are discussions accepted about complementary therapies when someone has high blood pressure, a heart attack or even cancer, while the "HIV causes AIDS" theory seems to be repeated again and again almost like a religious dogma and people who question this are labelled "dissidents" "denialists" "communists" "new age thinkers" "flat earthers" or even "nazi's". Fact of the matter is, that there are over 2000 scientists worldwide who have voiced aids critical opinions. This list includes highly acclaimed scientists and nobel price winners like Prof. Kary Mullis. More and more people who have been diagnosed HIV+ refuse to take the so called "aids cocktails" because there are reports that these are highly toxic and resort to a healthy lifestyle combined with a mixture of natural remedies and other complementary methods. Furtheron there are over 9000 signatures from people worldwide, who have signed the petition of truth initiated by President Thabo Mbeki from South Africa. There are hundreds of websites where one can read some of the critical comments about HIV and AIDS. There are millions of results, if one enters any of the aids-critics keywords. So my main question is: "Why are the mainstream media outlets sooo reluctant to publish anything to do with "AIDS CRITICISM" ? Could it be true, that the pressure from pharmaceutical companies to reduce advertising is so much bigger, then the often resorted terms of "democratic flow of information" "free speech" and the "freedom of opinion" as practised with most parts of reporting about a given topic. We, the growing number of aids-critical people worldwide will make the 23rd April 2005 the first "DAY of ACTION" and will voice our criticism about the various aspects of the "HIV causes AIDS" theory and the consequences individually and socially. The main scientific event on the 23rd April 2005 is the 2 day seminar "EL SIDA SI SE CURA" in Peru under the medical leadership from Dr. Roberto Giraldo. Please support that event, because there will be widespread medical repercussions, at least for most of South America... Unreliable Tests

A September 2004, San Francisco Chronicle article considered the "beauty" of testing. It told the story of 59 year-old veteran Jim Malone, who'd been told in 1996 that he was HIV positive. His health was diagnosed as "very poor." He was classified as "permanently disabled and unable to work or participate in any stressful situation whatsoever."

In 2004, his doctor sent him a note to tell him he was actually negative. He had tested positive at one hospital, and negative at another.

Nobody asked why the second test was more accurate than the first (this was the protocol at the Veteran's Hospital). Having been falsely diagnosed and spending nearly a decade waiting, expecting to die, Malone said, "I would tell people to get not just one HIV test, but multiple tests. I would say test, test and retest."

In the article, AIDS experts assured the public that the story was "extraordinarily rare." But the medical literature differs significantly.

The Numbers

In 1985, at the beginning of HIV testing, it was known that "68% to 89% of all repeatedly reactive ELISA (HIV antibody) tests [were] likely to represent false positive results." (New England Journal of Medicine. 1985).

In 1992, the Lancet reported ("HIV Screening in Russia") that for 66 true positives, there were 30,000 false positives. And in pregnant women, "there were 8,000 false positives for 6 confirmations."

In September 2000, the Archives of Family Medicine stated that the more women we test, the greater "the proportion of false-positive and ambiguous (indeterminate) test results."

The tests described above are standard HIV tests, the kind promoted in the ads. Their technical name is ELISA or EIA (Enzyme-linked Immuno-sorbant Assay). They are antibody tests. The tests contain proteins that react with antibodies in your blood.

False Positives

In the U.S., you're tested with an ELISA first. If your blood reacts, you'll be tested again, with another ELISA. Why is the second more accurate than the first? That's just the protocol. If you have a reaction on the second ELISA, you'll be confirmed with a third antibody test, called the Western Blot. But that's here in America. In some countries, one
ELISA is all you get.

It is precisely because HIV tests are antibody tests that they produce so many false-positive results. All antibodies tend to cross-react. We produce anti-bodies all the time, in response to stress, malnutrition, illness, drug use, vaccination, foods we eat, a cut, a cold, even pregnancy. These antibodies are known to make HIV tests come up as positive.

The medical literature lists dozens of reasons for positive HIV test results: "transfusions, transplantation, or pregnancy, autoimmune disorders, malignancies, alcoholic liver disease, or for reasons that are unclear..." (Archives of Family Medicine. Sept/Oct. 2000).

"[L]iver diseases, parenteral substance abuse, hemodialysis, or vaccinations for hepatitis B, rabies, or influenza..." (Archives of Internal Medicine, August 2000).

The same is true for the confirmatory test the Western Blot. Causes of indeterminate Western Blots include: "lymphoma, multiple sclerosis, injection drug use, liver disease, or autoimmune disorders. Also, there appear to be healthy individuals with antibodies that cross-react...."
(ibid).

Pregnancy is consistently listed as a cause of positive test results, even by the test manufacturers." [False positives can be caused by] prior pregnancy, blood transfusions...and other potential nonspecific reactions." (Vironostika HIV Test, 2003).

Inflated Africa Numbers

This is significant in Africa, because HIV estimates for African nations are drawn almost exclusively from testing done on groups of pregnant women.

In Zimbabwe last year, the rate of HIV infection among young women decreased remarkably, from 32.5 to 6 percent. A drop of 81 percent overnight. UNICEF's Swaziland representative, Dr. Alan Brody, told the press that, "The problem is that all the sero-surveillance data came from pregnant women, and estimates for other demographics was based on that."
(PLUS News, August, 2004).

Flawed Samples

When these pregnant young women are tested, they're often tested for other illnesses, like syphilis, at the same time. There's no concern for cross-reactivity or false-positives in this group, and no repeat testing. One ELISA on one girl, and 32.5 percent of the population is suddenly HIV positive.

The June 20, 2004 Boston Globe reported "the current estimate of 40 million people living with the AIDS virus worldwide is inflated by 25 percent to 50 percent." It said that HIV estimates for entire countries have, for over a decade, been taken from "blood samples from pregnant women at prenatal clinics."

But numbers about "AIDS deaths, AIDS orphans, numbers of people needing antiretroviral treatment, and the average life expectancy" are all taken from that one test.

I've certainly never seen this in a VH1 ad.

At present there are about six-dozen reasons given in the literature why the tests come up positive. In fact, the medical literature states that there is simply no way of knowing if any HIV test is truly positive or negative:

"[F]alse-positive reactions have been observed with every single HIV-1 protein, recombinant or authentic." (Clinical Chemistry. 37; 1991). "Thus, it may be impossible to relate an antibody response specifically to HIV-1 infection." (Medicine International. 1988).

Ambiguous Results

And even if you believe the reaction is not a false positive, "the test does not indicate whether the person currently harbors the virus."
(Science. November, 1999).

The test manufacturers state that after the antibody reaction occurs, the tests have to be "interpreted." There is no strict or clear
definition of HIV positive or negative. There's just the antibody reaction. The reaction is colored by an enzyme, and read by a machine called a spectro-photometer.

The machine grades the reactions according to their strength (but not specificity), above and below a cut-off. If you test above the cut-off, you're positive; if you test below it, you're negative. So what determines the all-important cut-off? From The CDC's instructional material: "Establishing the cutoff value to define a positive test result from a negative one is somewhat arbitrary." (CDC, 2003)

The Bangui Definition

In 1985, the World Health Organization called a meeting in Bangui, the
capital of the Central African Republic, to define African AIDS. The
meeting was presided over by CDC official Joseph McCormick. He wrote
about it in his book "Level 4 Virus Hunters of the CDC," saying, "If I
could get everyone at the WHO meeting in Bangui to agree on a single,
simple definition of what an AIDS case was in Africa, then, imperfect as
the
definition might be, we could actually start counting the cases..." The
result was that African AIDS would be defined by physical symptoms:
fever, diarrhea, weight loss and coughing or itching. ("AIDS in Africa: an

epidemiological paradigm." Science, 1986).

In Sub-Saharan Africa, about 60 percent of the population lives and
dies without safe drinking water, adequate food or basic sanitation. A
September, 2003 report in the Ugandan Daily "New Vision" outlined the
situation in Kampala, a city of approximately 1.3 million inhabitants,
which, like most tropical countries, experiences seasonal flooding. The
report describes "heaps of unclaimed garbage" among the crowded houses in

the flood zones and "countless pools of water [that] provide a breeding
ground for mosquitoes and create a dirty environment that favors
cholera."

"Latrines are built above water streams. During rains the area
residents usually open a hole to release feces from the latrines. The rain
then
washes away the feces to streams, from where the [area residents] fetch
water. However, not many people have access to toilet facilities. Some
defecate in polythene bags, which they throw into the stream." They
call these, "flying toilets."

The state-run Ugandan National Water and Sewerage Corporation states
that currently 55 percent of Kampala is provided with treated water, and
only 8 percent with sewage reclamation.

Most rural villages are without any sanitary water source. People wash
clothes, bathe and dump untreated waste up and down stream from where
water is drawn. Watering holes are shared with animal populations, which
drink, bathe, urinate and defecate at the water source. Unmanaged human
waste pollutes water with infectious and often deadly bacteria.
Stagnant water breeds mosquitoes, which bring malaria. Infectious
diarrhea,
dysentery, cholera, TB, malaria and famine are the top killer in Africa.
But in 1985, these conditions defined AIDS.

Maybe read some explaination about the "hiv co-factors" Without knowing a lot more about your friends development one can not make any suggestions. But what is called "AIDS" is questionable.

Oh. The "Perth Group". Yeah we keep hearing about these guys.

Seriously however. When we have a situation where (A) Electron microscope photographs exist of it, but more relevantly the damn thing has been DNA sequenced, then if it isnt HIV *WHAT THE FUCK IS IT*.

I mean its really bizare. We have a scenario where everyone who has the virus, literally EVERYONE develops these symptoms (Immune system goes to hell), and untreated pass away from oportunistic diseases utilising the lack of immune system. And seemingly there hasnt been cases found where people with AIDS *dont* have it.

So lets see
1) We know HIV actually does for real exist. This isnt disputed by anything other than a few cranks at lobby groups like 'the perth group'.
2) An almost universal mortality for those who have it and are untreated.

Fuck man, if that isnt proof, then what is.

Look I agree that AZT etc are nasty remedies. But lobbying people not to take medication is down right irresponsible.

Before you put your foot in your mouth again and again and again, let's make a few corrections:

The whole debate did not start with us denying anything; it started with the orthodoxy (the AID$ syndicate) launching a crazy theory about an elusive virus (HIV) that would cause 29 diseases or so.
All we are asking is: PROVE IT! As soon as I see scientific proof that HIV exists, I'll start believing in it. But then someone should still prove that it disables the immune system by killing off T-cells. You write "We know HIV actually does for real exist". Well, HOW do you know that? Did your Mom tell you? Your elementary school teacher? your minister? Certainly not someone who is familiar with the scientific literature.

The high priests of AIDS such as Robert Gallo and David Ho are the darlings of the media, and wallow in money. And you have the nerve to tell us WE make big money off the dissident movement?

The Perth Group - Yes, we love them, because they do honest scientific work, and they report what they find, not what they are supposed to find. And they provide us with solid scientific arguments. Let me ask you a question: When was the last time one of the big shots of the AIDS world (the ones who make the big money) came out to back you up in a discussion? Never, right? Why is the initial article 'obviously incorrect and misleading'? Because you say so?
You are correct in stating that perth indymedia is an open publishing outlet. That's what makes it so much better than the orthodox media such as the daily newspapers, because there the information to the public is strictly censured. Only the 'official' point off view (HIV-->AIDS-->Death) gets space.
That is just what we want to balance, by spreading ALL the available data. We hope that will get people to think for themselves. Somehow I get the impression that we'll never reach that stage with you.

Here is a debate, primarily about PROF. PETER DUESBERG, who was the first known virologist who pointed out, that the "HIV causes AIDS" theory is questionable.

Very interesting in this debate are some comments from known publishers, who took a stance by indicating along those lines: "I don´t agreee with Duesberg, but he is entitled to his own opinion" This was published in the same "SCIENCEMAG" in 1994, where DR. ROBERT GALLO published his theses about "HIV causes AIDS" in 1984.

From my own understanding, all the people in Perth should be proud of "THE PERTH GROUP" because these doctors and scientists have spend a lot of their time and energy on researching, debating and publishing their views.

One could really hope for that similar scientific groups were to get started in every country!!!

Between the scientific positions of Prof. Duesberg and The Perth Group are differences on quite a few details. These may or may not be discussed here any further. I just want to mention this, to show that the aidscritical scientists have not all the same opinion on a given topic...

I don´t want to answer some of the rather harsh comments posted above, because I know from my own experience, that it takes weeks or month, sometimes spreading over years to read through the wealth of information available on the internet or in print.

A BIG THANK YOU to the EDITORIAL BOARD from INDYMEDIA to allow this discussion. I and for what I know most of the others posting here, don´t expect that you share our concern or even support the aidscritical positions. All we want is a bit more "breathingspace" on general forums, without getting into personal insults, etc. This doesn´t lead anywhere...

you are attaching a "photö" to create the impression that such a "photo" is "proof" of the existence of "HIV as a self-replicating micro-organism" which is more dangerous than all the armies of ancient greek + rome put together.

so here are a few questions, which you can answer in your selfasured way:

What is the exact date and time your "photo" was taken?
Who took it? ( name of person)
At which Lab was it taken? (name of lab and country of origin)
What is the source material? (from a healthy person or an ill person or from animal)
When was the source material extracted? (the date of extraction does not have to be the same day as the day a photo was made)
Was the material "tempered" i.e. "purifiers" or other chemicals added?
What was the temperature when a photo was made?
What kind of camera was used?
How old is the camera?
Who ordered to make the picture?
Where was the picture first published?
Is there any peer reviews?

"We have all seen pictures of "the virus". Is this proof that HIV exists? Simply flashing the inside cover of Robert Gallo's Virus Hunting and claiming the blobs in the EM photos are proof that "HIV" has been isolated is like claiming UFO photos prove we have been visited by ETs. Our bodies express these sorts of particles all the time; they are known as Human Endogenous Retroviruses (HERVs). HERVs are very likely footprints of ancient germ-cell infections and encompass 1% of the human genome.12 They are not considered pathogenic (disease causing); some scientists speculate HERVs may confer protection from related exogenous retroviruses; others suspect their expression may be provoked by disease (oxidative) processes. Therefore, presenting EM photos of retrovirus-like particles afloat in the cellular soup cannot stand alone as proof of a unique infectious, pathogenic retrovirus.

The first electronmicrographs (EMs) of "purified HIV", published in the March 1997 issue of Virology 8,9, disclose "major contaminants". In the example above, note that the arrows labeled 'V' point to the few particles that are "retrovirus-like". The authors of these studies concede that their pictures reveal the vast majority of the material in the density gradient is cellular contamination.

By contrast, this electronmicrograph of the Friend virus 14 shows, at a magnification of 19500 x, an almost pure population of typical "type C" viruses (not yet called retrovirus in 1965). The arrows point at contaminating debris and microvesicles. The interpretation was that virus purification was satisfactory and that contamination rate was extremely low.

It is most incredible that all the samples examined in the Virology papers were the spawn of Gallo and Montagnier's early attempts at isolating or purifying HIV. It is this soup of cellular debris that passes for "HIV" in much of the research conducted by HIV laboratories around the world."

Hey guys, just when I thought we were back up to an intelligent level, we're back in kindergarten again. I've seen some well-informed posts on this thread, citing real scientific results. Very different from the claptrap we get from the mainstream media.
It looks like some Indy-users feel already harassed at the slightest whiff of information that goes against their ingrained beliefs. Is that really a way to have a debate?

HIV PICTURES; WHAT THEY REALLY SHOW

It has been long known that what "AIDS" researchers have presented as photos of "HIV" show normal cellular particles in use for export/import and other tasks. As those particles are designed, in contrast to viruses, for cellular use only, they are very unstable when removed from their context, and not able to be isolated and photographed in an isolated state. Genuine viruses are so stable that it is easy, in order to prove successful isolation, to photograph them directly as three dimensional particles in the electron microscope (EM) without prior chemical fixation. In contrast, the cellular-transport and other particles are so unstable (excluding cell organelles like Mitochondria, the energy producing sites which are able to be isolated in a stable form) they can only be photographed in a chemically fixed state, in cells, tissues or in supernatants. As these particles are not isolated and therefore are together with other materials the chemically fixed and resin-embedded cells, tissues or liquids - the mixed material has to be cut in very thin sections (ultrathin sections) to be able to see anything - it's not possible in the electron microscope to look through thicker sections. Of course existing viruses can be photographed in ultrathin sections too but, and this is the point, in their isolated form. All that have been shown to us "HIV" are ultrathin sections of cellular particles (1, 2).

HIV researchers believe the AIDS virus looks like this; like a bomb or water (blood) mine. This model is based on the detection of cellular particles in cell lines under very special conditions. Such particles never have been isolated or somehow else demonstrated to exist as a virus or be of viral origin. This is nothing but a modell based on a collection of proteins of various size (no other characterization!) which by antibody detection (known as HIV- or AIDS-test) have been chosen to be said to represent parts of HIV according to the ill-minded and false concept of retroviruses and how they should look like.

Most definetely is our campaign socially and politically motivated, since politics is the "collective bargaining" from one group aginst another group over the distribution of taxpayers money, allocation of natural and technical resources and manpower.

Health in general and natural health in specific is not a "sideissue" but becomes more and more important as a main focus of social and political activity.

HIV-AIDS being the most controversial health topic, but there are other struggles going on, which are equally important...
